From Gas Turbines
to a Generational Mission.

Abu Dhabi was building its future. Euro Mechanical was there to help build it. Fifty years, four divisions, and over 2,100 people later, we still are.

Where It Began

Euro Mechanical was founded in July 1976 by the late Mr John Manna, on behalf of the heirs of the late Mr Mohammed Alhurr Alsuwaidi. The company's first work was to build and install gas turbines for power stations in Abu Dhabi. It was demanding, technically precise work, and delivering it well established the reputation that has carried every project since.

To support Abu Dhabi's growing onshore and offshore oilfield operations, Euro Mechanical launched its Construction Division and, shortly after, a Manpower Division to back it. The approach was straightforward, providing the right people, with the right skills, to the right standard.

In 1982, the Alhurr Alsuwaidi family acquired full ownership of the business. What had begun as a founding assignment became a generational commitment. Euro Mechanical's role extended beyond commercial delivery, contributing directly to the Nation's development, and that sense of responsibility has shaped every decision made since.

Building Deeper

Through the 1990s and into the 2000s, Euro Mechanical expanded its capabilities systematically. ISO 9001 certification was achieved in 1993, followed by ASME and National Board accreditations that opened the door to more complex pressure equipment work. The bolting and machining fleet grew into what is now the largest of its kind in the UAE.

The company's relationship with Das Island deepened into a 25+ year continuous presence, a mark of the trust that major operators placed in Euro Mechanical's workforce and project management capability. HSE Contractor of the Year awards from Gasco reinforced a safety culture embedded in daily practice.

A Dubai branch was established in 2009, extending the company's geographic reach. By 2012, Euro Mechanical had grown past 1,000 employees, reflecting both commercial growth and the organisation's sustained investment in its people.

Built for What Comes Next

The last decade has been one of deliberate transformation. Euro Mechanical rebranded in 2018, crystallising a shift from a single-service business to a structured, multi-division energy services provider. The acquisition of SAMCO in 2020 strengthened upstream capabilities significantly. The addition of Pressurised Habitats in 2022 brought a category-defining safety technology into the portfolio. Recently in 2025, Euro Mechanical further strengthened its in-house service offering through the acquisition of Wellube.

The ICAD manufacturing facility has grown into one of Abu Dhabi's most capable fabrication operations, certified to ASME 'U' and NBIC 'R' and 'A' standards, supporting local content objectives and reducing the UAE's dependence on imported equipment.

Today, Euro Mechanical operates across four technology-enabled divisions, employs over 2,100 people, and is actively aligned with ADNOC's long-term industrial ambitions. The company that started with construction and manpower in 1976 is now a trusted partner across the full asset lifecycle: from project delivery to long-term maintenance, from in-country manufacturing to global technology access.

That continuity is not coincidental. It is the result of fifty years of decisions made with a long-term perspective, a family owner's commitment to doing things right, and a workforce that takes pride in the standard of its work.
